Welcome to my site. While I am a teacher by day ( I mean, I play all my life with math  😉  ), I love to paint which gives me a great pleasure and satisfaction. This site is to share this passion of mine with you.

I have been painting since my childhood starting with more traditional artwork using acrylics, crayons and watercolors. There were mostly landscapes and animals’ paintings. I love to play with the colors and the styles as well as experiment with various techniques. In recent times I have discovered fluid art using fluid acrylic and alcohol ink. I love how it creates intricate patterns all on its own and with my touch and imagination became exciting, abstract paintings. In those wet on wet techniques, I pour, sweep, spray and manipulate, drip paint onto the surface. Sometimes I use fingers to apply paint, along with a palette knife or toothpick for fine detailed effects. The abstract paintings are mostly flowers and landscapes on canvas or glass. In my work I still paint traditional paintings as well.

You will find my paintings signed as Barko which is my artistic pseudonym.
